a word from John Pendergast I came up with my ideas for my system when I was making proto types for my patent,to do with re-using clear plastic containers to protect my reflective element. Which I did by putting one container inside another, from then on I’ve tried to re-use stuff to also help keep cost down as I’m retire, and married with just enough money to live on. Some other old allotment plot holders are dead set against me and my recycling project ideas,to the point of telling me to my face that they want me off my plot, because I’m not using my allotment plot to grow things on in the conventional way. But there are also others who say what I do on my plot is different compared to there’s, and they like to see and talk about what I do and the way I do it,but so far have not changed the way they do things because they can dig,but I can’t because of my lower back pain and other problems too. Whilst I can do most things on my plot, any heavy work my 2 sons do for me like carrying pallets to use or to break down. Some people are not willing to help me The non helper I will make accountable for their actions,as they never bothered to reply back to me even though I told them all I was trying to save lives, and re-use tonnes of waste too. I do believe they do not want to get involved because my system cost nothing to make as it’s all made from rubbish by design. My ideas can be used internationly. It can be used in a disaster, My system can be used as a on going food supplyer. I would like my simple transportable system made in the UK and sent all over the world to help those who are poor,as part of our world aid programme to help those who have nothing left but what they stand up in after a bad flood or drought disaster, like the Tsunami in ASIA,as my simple to make carrying system can be used in so many different ways, growing food to eat is just one way that works on a small or large scale. I can’t see any reason why my system can’t be used to hold a conventional flower pot as you can see what water is in the base container,or use any thing else ,providing there is a screw on cap on it,to allow water to be drained off or re-used when it’s upside down.My crops have grown as well, if not better than conventional crops in some cases like new potatoes all the year round, especially ( KING EDWARDS ) and M Peers do well, which come from ASDA when I need seed potatoes as part of our shopping,as I cut off the bit where it starts to shoot roots, eating the rest,or I put the whole potatoe in to the bottom of my container. If I can grow sweet corn in a 2 litre bottle for example using my system,as well as growing runner beans, broad beans, french beans, peas, carrots, strawberries, herbs,to name just a few, which you can also grow in conventional pots if you want to. If some one wants to use my system indoor or out sid, where would they get all their milk containers from? Most food shops sell milk be it 4 pints or less which have a screw on cap and a handle space to put some wood through to make up a row. I know all the larger stores sell 6 pint milk containers such as ASDA,where we get ours from plus our water containers too as part of our shopping. I’ve been saving our plastic milk containers and bottles for many years now,and I have had also my family and friends save them for me too,to re-use again on my allotment plot. MY system works, and it can be used on most surfaces including water, and it can be carried, and will self stand if you use 3 or more base containers. A simple trasportable recycling system that work’s,which will cost nothing to make as it’s all made from rubbish. For many years now I havd been trying to save lives by re-using waste plastic containers of all shapes and sizes to grow things in,on a large and small scale in the UK,to help to reduce them going into landfill sites, along with unwanted wooden pallets too.The end result is as a designer and inventor, not a gardener. Is a allotment plot that’s covered completely in unwanted wooden pallets, which I use as decking and crop growing sections, and I also use 9,000 plastic containers to grow things in too. Which has cost me nothing to do,which you can do too by only using 3 tools,a sharp knife,to cut the containers,a crowbar to break down unwanted wooden pallets, and a claw hammer to pull the old nails out to re-use again to make uprights for your transportable carrying system to be held in place or supported. Which there is no other system in the world can match for free,as it’s made from rubbish. Other benefits are no weeds, less insects to control,no slugs,no snails, and NO DIGGING,what more can one man offer to help others. The main reason for me inventing my system was to help feed the poor and starving people in the world, and those in a bad drought or bad flood situation,as my system can be used on most surfaces including water as the containers float with the caps done up. How to make my simple transportable recycling system. Simply re-use 4 or more 6 pint ASDA milk containers as your base containers, which you cut around the bottom to leave a flap on the handle side, you then re-use one of your flat pallet pieces of wood to pass through 4 or more upside down containers spaced out on oppsite sides so they can self stand, into them you can put the same size container and fill with compost or soil or you can use 4 pint milk containers with a bottomless 2 litre bottle inside that, and fill with compost, and what ever you are going to grow. My system as also it’s own water recycling system built in,done by simply undoing or doing up the cap at the bottom of each container. You can also put another bottomless clear bottle on top of another one to protect seedlings and to also help lose of water with the cap undone a bit. The handle holes can also be used to have canes put in to them, plus you can pick every thing up and move it from one place to another,by holding the ends of your row of containers which I use 10 of,or you make a space in the middle of your even numbered containers to carry.
